ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills

To be eligible for admission into the BSN (Prelicensure) program, you must complete the ATI Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam and earn a minimum composite score of 63%. The composite score is an overall, weighted percentage (0–100%) reflecting performance across all four sections: Reading, Math, Science and English and Language Usage.

Waiving the exam

If you have a bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or from an internationally recognized institution, you are eligible to waive the ATI TEAS exam admissions requirement. Contact your enrollment specialist for further details prior to registering for the exam.

How To Get Started

The exam must be completed within the past 12 months.

Enter your information, including your seven-digit student ID number: {employeeId}
You will have 209 minutes to complete the exam
Upon completion of the exam, request that your transcript is sent to Capella University via your ATI account.

This item will be marked Completed once Capella receives your official TEAS Transcript earning the minimum composite score requirement.

If you do not earn the minimum composite score requirement, you may retake the TEAS exam by following the current ATI retake policy.
