If you have an active Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) certification, you will need to request documentation be sent to Capella University for admission review. If you do not have an active APRN, this will be removed after review of the APRN License Background Form. Please give 2 business days after submission of that form, before contacting your Enrollment Specialist to have this removed.

Requesting Verification of Board Certification:

Navigate to your respective board certifying agency where you are currently board-certified. Examples include (but are not limited to) American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (aanpcert.org).
Locate information on “verification of board- certification.”
Request that verification of your board certification be sent to Capella University, ascertain whether the board requires a physical or email address.

The process can take approximately one week.
